A prayer for every day

Thinking about …….

If you are looking for Thought for Monday you will find it here.

“As I study the subject of “separation” in the Old and New Testaments, I discover that the weight of Scripture lies in the direction of fellowship rather than separation. What is the great overwhelming evidence that we have passed from death unto life? It is love! Jesus Christ clearly was speaking of visible unity, such as can be seen by the world. His motive for praying was that the world might believe and the world might know. He prayed for unity among believers. God, who wills man’s unity in Christ, is a God of variety. So often we want everyone to be the same-to think and speak and believe as we do. Many Scripture passages could be called to witness that love is the real key to Christian unity. In the spirit of true humility, compassion, consideration, and unselfishness, we are to approach our problems, our work, and even our differences.”

In a world needing Your love, let me not judge those who love You too. You have made us all so different, Father. Teach me, by Your loving Holy Spirit, compassion and true unity.

John 15:12 NLT
12 This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

A Special Post for Pentecost

Time is running out. We need an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Will you join me?

ACTS of the APOSTLES 2.1-4 NLT- On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. 2Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. 3Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Listen for the sound

The breeze carries a sound that all should hear; the sound of Love that cannot be denied. Those that hear it will defeat hate. Those that accept it will have life everlasting.

The breeze carries a sound that many will ignore; the sound of Love that should not be ignored. Those that ignore it will flounder within the sea of hate.

The breeze carries a sound that many will deny; the sound of Love that should not be denied. Those that deny it will be condemned to live with hate.

The breeze will shortly blow. Await My breeze, for on that breath is your eternity.

Prayer, not just for Sunday

The posts from ‘Get Up With God‘ are always pertinent.  This is the prayer for today.  I thought it was worth sharing.  Have a really blessed day.

Help us to remember that we are strangers and aliens in this world and to stay away
from the sinful desires that war against our souls.

Help us to reach out to you, to trust you and to never doubt.

Help us to have bigger faith.

Help us always to be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks about our faith and to do it gently and respectfully.

Help us to remember that our time here is incredibly short.

Help us to be alert, clear-minded and self-controlled and to pray, pray, pray, pray, pray
and then pray some more.

Above all, help us to love others deeply.

Help us to live holy, humble lives overflowing with joy, peace, kindness, compassion
and forgiveness.

May we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To him be the glory both now and forever!
