I am watching – and waiting

I am watching and waiting. I am watching those who are mine as they bicker and argue and declare their infallibility. I am watching those who are not, swear and profane, and declare their sovereignty. I am watching while those who have found Me strive and battle for their own position and salvation. I am watching while those who are lost ignore Me and endeavour to find a God within themselves.

I am waiting for those who are Mine to submit to My will. I am waiting for those who are not to respond to My Word. I am waiting while those who have found Me rest in My peace. I am waiting while those who are last recognise Me as I have revealed Myself in My beloved Son.

I am watching and waiting for My people to truly humble themselves before Me. I am watching and waiting for the final souls to be gathered into the fold. I am watching and waiting for my children to acknowledge their place within the Body. I am watching and waiting for My sheep to recognise the shepherd.

I am watching and waiting for those who have everything to recognise the signs of the times. I am watching and waiting while those who have nothing fight to retain their lives. I am watching and waiting while those who listen prepare themselves to hear My Voice. I am watching and waiting while those who are deaf sink hopelessly into the mire of their own making.

I am watching and waiting for the final hour. I am watching and waiting for the closing stages. I am watching and waiting for that which I have promised long ago. I am watching and waiting.

Two Scriptures and a Devotional, My Tuesday Three (via Linda Kruschke’s Blog)

This blog so often ‘hits the nail on the head’.
I recommend that you at least read the extract from the devotional – that you then read it again and again. This was written by a great man of God, and it is a priviledge to hear the voice again.

As Christians we need to proclaim the truth,

Amen and Amen

Last night I participated in a historic event in the life of my young church family. We had a special congregational meeting to vote on calling our first permanent lead pastor. I am so excited to be able to report that the vote was overwhelmingly in favor of calling the candidate recommended by the Board of Elders (of which I am a part). I presented the scripture readings, devotional, and opening prayer for the meeting. Today I just want to share … Read More

Reach Out

I have sent My messengers with their words of peace and goodwill. I have sent My envoys with guarantees of salvation. I have sent My Son for all to recognise. He too was rejected and scorned.

I have given My promises and fulfilled them in their due time. I have provided for My children and My people, but it has gone without acknowledgement, and each has seen it as the proceeds of their own efforts.

I have given Myself a true and faithful remnant. I have chosen a few that would recognise My work and do My will. I have taught them to listen for My voice and know the inner secrets of My heart. Their words have also been rejected. Man does not have ears to hear, but is determined in his own way, and the working of his salvation.

Search not within yourself to find your god. You were not created for this purpose. Search not in rocks and stones for peace, for Peace only comes from the foundation that is The Rock. Search not for fulfilment in worship of your idols. You were intended to worship Higher than they and their worship can only bring destruction. Strive not for your own salvation, for in the workings of men there is none.

Reach out your hands to Me, those that know My Name. Reach out your hearts to Me those that love My Name. Reach out to Me in the knowledge that I am Almighty and will have My way, and that I am coming soon.

Today’s thoughts

1The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.

2 He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 3 and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.[a] 4 A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.

Matthew 16

Is God asking you to do something specific for Him?  Do it now.  Read the 4 short chapters of Jonah to discover what may happen as a result.

Praise God.
